How to Not Stress In the Morning Rush

For almost every mother and father around the world no matter where they are located, the morning rush of getting up, getting ready and getting the kids ready as well is a bit of a war each day. It is the busiest time of the day when everybody is trying to get to office or school on time and sometimes even the slightest thing can escalate into an argument in the heat of the moment or can cause you to get delayed. How can you avoid getting stressed in this morning rush? Here are some ways in which you can still keep your cool and make sure that everybody goes out of the house on time.

Keep Your Clothing for the Day Ironed Earlier

One of the chores that take up a lot of time in the mornings will be ironing your work and school clothing. In order to avoid this you can employ two methods. One would be to iron everything that you need for tomorrow in the evening today when you are home so that during the morning you do not need to worry about your ironing. The other option is that you iron all uniforms and work attire during the weekend for the entire week and keep it carefully on hangers where they will not get wrinkled up again. If you use either of these ways you will actually be able to save a huge chunk of your time in the morning and you will also feel that you are way less stressed than you used to be.

Meal Prep Can Be Your Best Friend

Cooking meals from scratch in the morning can also be really challenging. You will need to devote a lot of time to cooking and that can sometimes be really stressful especially because the chances are that your children may want different items to take to school as compared with you and your partner and other members of the family. For this reason always use meal prep and keep all the meals for the weekday mornings prepped in advance. This way you will save time in the morning, cut down on the amount of food that you eat from outside and will generally have an easier flow to all the work in the rush in the morning.

Wake Up Early and On Time

Do not hit that snooze button and go back to sleep. You may feel like those last ten minutes of sleep are really important for your survival and the truth is that we all feel that way, but you also need to realize that the earlier you wake up and the more that you wake up on time, the better your chances of getting things done on time so that you can get everybody to their schools and offices on time too. What you can do instead is go to bed earlier so that you can wake up feeling well rested and refreshed. Avoid waiting awake until the wee hours of the night if you know that you need to wake up early.
